The сцена/szena gallery, created by Anastasia Shavlokhova in 2018, is located in the Richter mansion on Pyatnitskaya Street in Moscow and supports artists who work with the themes of art-making as a contemporary message. Our project is focused on forming a new artistic language that reflects our times.
At our stand at the 1703 art fair, we present artists who work with narrative through an intricate dialogue with various mediums.
Dmitriy Zhukov (born 1972) explores human bodies and transforms these proportions into abstract sculpture using traditional blacksmith welding techniques. Kirill Garshin (born 1990) is pedantically dedicated to painting. In his work, Kirill explores themes of the crisis of classical painting and works with organic materials. Andrey Golder (born 1979) works with oil painting, creating works based on the aestheticization of imperfections and strategies of personal mythology in figurative painting.
