At the 10th Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair, in the section “Created in Moscow”, the сцена/szena gallery, with the support of Agency of Creative Industries, presented artworks by Olya Avstreyh.
The “Cruel Optimism” series, which includes the “Kissing Inferno” cycle, is a project about deceitful feelings, false promises, and avoidance of a serious relationship with reality. The artist is trying to find a way to overcome frustration through sensual images, extreme intimacy, and closeness.
