Aleksei Taruts is an interdisciplinary artist who’s practice involves such mediums as performance art, sculpture, video & sound installation. In his work Taruts reflects upon the affects produced by cultural & creative industry interpreted as structures of power. Aleksei Taruts is examining neuroses of late capitalism shaped by the acсelerationist agenda, disenchantment with internet, overexposure to wow-effects & instant representation. Taruts speculatively views the hyperspeeds of current technological & communicational advancements as forces promoting irrational knowledge.
